Luke: What are your dreams for me?
Timothy: My dreams for you are for you to simply succeed in school, choose a college that's right for you, and do something that your passionate about, for your work, for your free time, and for your life.
Luke: Okay, what were the hardest moments for you, raising me as a child?
Timothy: Hmm. The hardest moments raising you were probably when you were a little kid, because you would always crash on your bike. But, you would always get up without crying. Your mom and I always thought that there was something wrong with you. Middle school was also another tough time. It was a new experience for you, and it was a difficult time to get thru. I think that the hardest parts of it were encouraging you that it was all going to end up okay.
Luke: What kind of music did you listen to at my age? Which bands?
Timothy: At your age I was always listening to heavy rock bands. Things like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. But, there was this one girl who was an exchange student, and I remember she brought all these VHS tapes with all this European Pop on it. It was the first time I ever heard that kind of stuff.
Luke: What are your favorite bands now?
Timothy: Well obviously I like the bands I did back then in addition to U2, but I’ve also been introduced to a lot more. Some more like Drake, The XX, Post Malone, Ben Howard, and a lot more that most people don't know about. Of course I found these through the power of streaming music nowadays.
Luke: What about this; do you truly like your job?
Timothy: I really truly do. It’s very fun to take different aspects and pieces of a magazine and really make it amazing. Since we’ve done so many issues of it (91 to be exact), I have experienced a lot of things and learned a lot too. It certainly is fun being the one who gets to create the actual magazine.
Luke: How did you meet mom?
Timothy: Well, I was working at a school, and your mother was a student there. We weren’t young or anything, she was 33 and I was maybe 32. We just instantly hit it off and we started going out for lunch, which evolved into dates, and it has just been perfect ever since.
Luke: Last question, what was the worst thing you did as a child?
Timothy: Well, I was in grade 5, and I ended up grafting onto a post at our school. The thing I wrote was something like, “Doug G. is a c***sucker” which obviously wasn’t a very good thing to do. I got caught in the act, and I was sent home early. That was the first and last time I ever got sent home for something I did at school. It actually still sticks with me today, which kind of sucks but it reminds me of what I did.
